John 5:2-8
In these verses, the Lord brought me to notice a couple of things.
First, Jesus is always seeking to heal the blind, lame and paralyzed.
Second, those that He seek may not necessarily be blind, lame and paralyzed by physical standards.
Third, there is always an excuse to remain in the condition we are in,may it be our own fault or other people's fault (John 5:7).
Lastly, when the word of God goes out, healing will always take place(John 5:8).
Interestingly, the Lord showed me that it takes a willingness of heart and translated into action to get out of a situation that we are in, may it be in a situation of defeat, depression, loss, lack of faith etc.
"Get up!" was the first thing He said to the man, not"by your faith, you are healed". He is telling the man, if you are willing, you must first get up! Get up from where you are sitting now, in your comfort zone, in your sorrow, in your wounds, in your weakness,in your defeat.
"Pick up your mat and walk." pick up all that belonged to you, do not leave anything behind,so that you cannot and will not look back into the past and come back again. Then you walk...
