I read this from a book that im currently reading, and its very timely personally. So i would like to share this here.
What does it mean to be more than conquerors? In a season where im persevering based on this verse, the following meant alot to me as it put into words what i have been trying to put into words the last few weeks.
More than conquerors simply meant remaining in God's love regardless of the situations we faced or the circumstances we are in. A conqueror will nullify his enemy's purpose, one who is more than conqueror makes his enemy serves his purposes. Which means when afflictions strike, we faces them with courage and faith that God will be glorified ultimately if we choose to remain in His love and not denying Him. Our enemy in the form of trouble, suffering and afflictions have only ONE purpose, that is to cut us off from Christ, bringing us to final ruin without God. As such, when we defeat this aim, and remain in the love of Christ, we are a conqueror. We become more than conqueror when we remain in God's love and make our enemy our slave, eg. Affliction wanted to bring Paul down but instead Paul let afflictions serves its purpose yet preparing him for an eternal weight of glory. Affliction has been enslaved by Paul ( 2Cor 4:17)
See troubles/ sufferings/difficulties and pain as not an enemy to bring upon ur downfall but as an enemy thats preparing you for the eternal weight of glory that God has intended when we stand firm upon God's words and remain in His love to the end.
